![]() ![]() Lots of darkness, shadows, and moonlight abound. A first-person horror adventure, Master Reboot is an awkward mix of obvious and abstract puzzles coupled with measured doses of psychological creepiness and bouts of superficial scaring. Like I said, the puzzles shouldn’t be too hard to solve, unless you let the atmosphere get to you. Master Reboot is a haunting first person sci-fi adventure game set inside the Soul Cloud. When you do complete a memory, a short cartoon animation plays that shows what the specific memory is, possibly including the clues you find. These clues are available in a “scrapbook” found back in the Soul Village when you successfully complete a memory. The clues are mostly visual like documents or a picture of you and you life. (Seems to be a lot of duck-related stuff happening lately.) These ducks are clues to the mystery you are trying to solve. ![]() ![]() You might also find blue ducks along the way. Master Reboot places you in the shoes and emotions of this unknown soul directly there’s no tutorial, introduction, or hint of what is going on to either player or protagonist. These puzzles are not too taxing on your brain, ranging from basic exploration to deciphering codes to trying to avoid some nastiness in your path. While you explore your memories you will need to solve some puzzles in order to leave and get back to your Soul Village. Does this hospital have a mental ward? You might need one while exploring. ![]()
